Some proof of English language proficiency – TOEFL or IELTS – is required (together with the application form) only if English is not student´s mother tongue. Alternatively, in the recommendation letter the student´s tutor should confirm the student is able to follow lessons in English.

There is a faculty coordinator at each faculty who helps students to create a study plan (workload). Students should pick up courses from 1 faculty only, because the university has no central campus, but university buildings are spread all around the city.

IS COMPARABLE HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FROM ABROAD ALLOWED?
Yes, travel medical insurance covering all costs that may arise during stay in Slovakia in connection with any urgent medical care and/or emergency treatment in the hospital including potential medical repatriation or death. Minimum insurance coverage: Euro 30.000.

One of the most important documents needed for the application for a temporary residence permit in Slovakia is a criminal record from responsible national institution. Student needs to have this document before (s)he enters Slovakia. This document as well as others, needs to be officially translated/apostilled – please ask at Slovak Embassy for further details.
