APPLICATION WEBSITE
We can consider one student per course.
HKU offers highly specialized courses that require a strong academic background in the subject area an exchange student applies for. Our experience is that this is not always the case with creative art programmes that allow students to choose from a diverse range of (art related) subject areas or when students choose a more broadening subject area than that of the main course at the home institution.
We therefore would like to do a screening of the academic compatibility before the nomination of AEN students based on:
• Motivation: why the chosen HKU course is of interest and importance for the student’s professional development.
• A small portfolio that gives a good idea of the work of the student.
• Curriculum Vitae
• Transcript of records (GPA/average marks are not needed).
In general higher art education is smaller scale and a limited number of places is available for exchange students that apply. HKU, as many other higher art education institutions, tend to receive more exchange applications than places available and therefore a content based selection is made. Students take the selection into account when applying and are aware of the possibility of not being selected.
